Brightest Stars Visible From Chicago: #8

Altair

ALTAIR is number 8 on our countdown of the brightest stars visible from Chicago. Altair is the brightest star in the constellation Aquila, the eagle. Altair is the second star of the Summer Triangle to be featured on this countdown; Deneb, at number 15, was the first. Not surprisingly, we will meet the third star of the triangle later in this countdown.
