I captured the following image of the waxing crescent Moon tonight (Tuesday, November 25):
The Moon was three days old. New Moon was on Saturday, but skies over Chicago remained cloudy and/or stormy for the next two nights, preventing me from seeing an even younger Moon. Nonetheless, in just four days, the Moon’s appearance changed from this into what you see above (and switched from the morning to the evening sky).
If the sky is clear tomorrow night (Wednesday, November 26), look for the crescent Moon after sunset and you will see Mars below it (you’ll need a reasonably clear horizon in the west).
